kayak delphiBlueway Kayaking at Delphi Adventure Resort

For a chilled-out experience, take a paddle through the flat waters of the stunning Killary fjord. The fjord is in the heart of Connemara which forms a natural border between counties Galway and Mayo. It is 16 kilometres long and in the centre it is over 45 metres deep. On the Delphi Blueway Kayaking session, you’ll see the beautiful coastline from a whole new perspective. The northern shore boasts spectacular views of Mweelrea Mountain; Connacht’s highest, rising to 814 metres, while to the south are the Maumturk Mountains and the Twelve Bens. We offer a session of flat water kayaking to give you the basic techniques. You can choose from a sit-on-top kayak (perfect for those who may be a little nervous), or the traditional closed cockpit version.  Either way, the view is just as beautiful. This is one of the many unique lifetime experiences on offer at Delphi and we would highly recommend it to all!

Kayak the caves with Real Adventures

Real Adventures offer a variety of Kayaking options such as Kayak the Caves at Cleggan, Kayak the Blueway at Mannin Bay in Ballyconneely, and Kayaking at Gurteen Bay in Roundstone. Primarily we will be using Cleggan which is a beautiful coastal journey exploring some amazing sea caves in Connemara.  As a mobile company we are able to move around so we have chosen a few locations that we may decide to use if the weather on the day isn’t suitable for Cleggan.   We believe they are Connemara’s hidden gems and each have their own uniqueness. Groups catered for. Morning, afternoon, evening and sunset sessions available. We will provide you with all the necessary equipment including sit on top kayaks, paddles, wetsuits, buoyancy aids and snorkeling gear. All you need to bring are your swimming togs, a towel, a pair of trainers you don’t mind getting wet and lunch when booking a full day trip.
